I love the internets, but while most people love the cat videos and memes, I'm more interested in the bits of code and the interactions between them, other bits of code and the end-user.

I love the way we can integrate different systems with a website to create a useful business tool or look at user behaviour to improve the experience.

I'm kind of like a person who looks at a beautiful car and gets excited about the carburetor - except that I know nothing about cars, so I'm more like a person who looks at a beautiful website and thinks, "I reckon I can improve the page load on mobile by at least another quarter of a second”.

I'm also fond of analogies. I use my love of internets and analogies to communicate and collaborate with our partners, and our team of designers, developers and marketers to deliver beautiful websites that deliver results. My favourite thing of all is when we deliver something that achieves the results you’re after and makes your job easier.

As Digital Art Director I lead the digital team creating effective, engaging, and award-winning digital solutions the meet the needs of our clients and our marketers and content editors.

The things I love most about my role is problem solving, sharing knowledge and constantly working to improve the way we work and the solutions we provide. I enjoy explaining complex technical issues to non-technical people in terms that they can understand (that's where the analogies come in).

I love it when I get to teach a developer something new (although, to be honest I often learn more from them) or help them solve an issue where they've hit a road block.
