Hi! I’m Sam, a Content Director based in Chicago. A writer and storyteller at heart, I’d love to get to know you and your brand, then use what I’ve learned to create content that can transform your prospects into your strongest advocates.

Content can take many forms, but the goal is often the same: to help a brand stand out in a sea of noise, garner the attention of its target audience, and drive meaningful engagement at every stage of the user journey. 

Welcome to my world. As Content Director for TZO, I collaborate with our partners and super-talented in-house team to generate high-quality content across a range of channels and strategize on creative projects. 

People are needy creatures. They want to be informed, entertained, educated, and inspired — often simultaneously. I leverage my diverse background (which includes communications experience at a large chamber of commerce and a stint as a corporate marketer) to craft compelling copy that’s tailored to whatever style, story or situation may arise.

When I’m not working, I’m likely outdoors (weather permitting). Whether it’s camping, biking a local path, wandering a nearby forest preserve, puttering around my garden, fishing up in Canada’s far north, or hiking in the wilderness of a national park, I have a constant itch to stay active and explore new places. And I enjoy scratching that itch.  

If I’m not outside, you’ll probably find me reading the newspaper (yes, the print paper — I’m a 70-year-old man stuck in a 30-something’s body) or blogging about Chicagoland’s craft beer scene.

At TZO, every day and every project is a little bit different, and I wouldn’t have it any other way.
