My role at TimeZoneOne is to put our team alongside the people and businesses we can help most. Any successful relationship comes from a joint vision and shared purpose, so my job is to seek out the companies for whom we will achieve the best results.
I believe that for every problem there is a solution. What gets me skipping into the office in the morning is the desire to find solutions that will go beyond our client’s expectations that day and for weeks to come. It’s exciting to be working on a global team that has so much talent and enthusiasm, because that makes my job easy. All I need to do is present that talent to the people who are looking for it – simple!
Over the last 20 years I have worked in marketing, events and sponsorship. Along the way I have learned to find interesting projects, collaborate, win work, deliver on promises and make lifelong friends with the people who I work with.
The project I am most proud of in my career is the Christchurch Stands Tall project 2014. This project partnered with around 30 sponsors, 40 emerging artists and 50 schools, three years after the devastating earthquakes of 2010 and 2011. Together we gave Christchurch a beautiful and super-fun public art trail of 100 individually-decorated giraffe sculptures on display for 10 weeks. At the end, the sponsored giraffes were auctioned and raised just under $400,000 for local charities. It also won a national event award!
I’m really looking forward to doing bigger and better things with TZO and our clients!
The other team I love being part of is Team Cowles, which includes my husband, daughter and son. We are a well-travelled family, having emigrated from the UK twice in seven years. We’re now planted in NZ and intend to spend our lives enjoying all the goodness the country has to offer: food, sport, culture, beauty, mountains, beaches and Whittaker’s chocolate.
My personal passions are running, HIIT training, anything related to food, reading and writing. One day I will write that book!
