Celebrate Good Times, Come On!

In case you haven’t heard, TimeZoneOne are celebrating twenty-five wonderful years of storytelling. And what better way to celebrate than with five cocktails inspired by our company's core values.

Collaborate: Paper Plane

Collaborate: Paper Plane

With offices in three countries (and two hemispheres), we’re used to collaborating long distances. This cocktail — a variation on the Last Word — is perfect for two people in the mood for quaffable collaboration.

One

Amaro

1½ oz

Aperol

1½ oz

Bourbon

1½ oz

Lemon Juice

1½ oz

To Prepare

  1. Find a world-class paper plane enthusiast to construct two small paper planes.
  2. Shake all the ingredients with ice, then double strain into two Nick and Nora glasses. Affix the paper planes.
  3. Share, enjoy, and toast to your collaboration.
Challenge: Jeppson's Malört

Challenge: Jeppson's Malört

For nearly a hundred years, severely misguided Chicagoans have been drinking Jeppson's Malört. A brand of bäsk liquor so foul, you’ll likely experience an acute case of Malört Face your very first time. However, if you — like us — enjoy a challenge, the Windy City might just have something for you.

Two

Jeppson's Malört

2 oz

To Prepare

  1. Pour Jeppson's Malört into a shot glass.
  2. Drink.
  3. Immediately regret your decision.
Innovate: Maple Old Fashioned

Innovate: Maple Old Fashioned

Innovation has brought us many great things. The printing press, the electric light, and this iteration of a classic Old Fashioned — a mixture of bourbon, bitters, water, and sugar — in which the traditional sugar cube is replaced with maple syrup (shout out to our Canadian offices).

Three

Bourbon

2 oz

Maple Syrup

1 tsp

Angostura Bitters

2 dashes

Orange Bitters

1 dash

To Prepare

  1. Stir all ingredients over ice.

2 dashes

Resourceful: The Beekeeper

Resourceful: The Beekeeper

Bees are very resourceful. They forage great distances for pollen and will build a nest in your car if you let them. We’re resourceful too: we find simple solutions for complex problems. This non-alcoholic cocktail aims to capture that energy, by utilizing simple ingredients for complex flavors.

Five

Fresh Blueberries

8

Lemon Juice

¾ oz

Honey Syrup

¾ oz

Club Soda

To top

To Prepare

  1. For the honey syrup, combine ½ cup of warm water with ¼ cup of honey in a container with a tight lid. Shake vigorously until the honey is dissolved.
  2. In a shaker, gently muddle the blueberries. Add the remaining ingredients (except the club soda) and shake with 2 oz of water. Double strain into a collins glass over ice, and slowly top with the club soda.
  3. Raise a toast to the honey bees, fighting the good fight.
